Challenge #3: Speechless

Your challenge this time is to tell us the story of one of this person’s investigations without using any dialogue at all. Prose and narration only! Your main character cannot utter a word.

The bonus challenge here is that your character also cannot use text (written or typed) to communicate during the story.
