Writers’ Asylum 2023: Update!
This year, we’re doing something a little bit different for our Writers’ Asylum. Due to various logistical reasons, we are regretfully unable to do a single day of writing challenges this time around.
Instead, we have a whole month of writing challenges!
Introducing: Writers’ Asylum: Experiential
Every Monday in May will have a new challenge go up, starting on 1st May. There is no time limit on these, and they can be done in any order. You can use the same main character for each or a new one each time. The challenges can be independent or part of a linked story: it is entirely up to you.
To successfully complete a challenge, you have to write a short story of 1,000-2,000 words including the prompt and the criteria in the challenge. Each one also has an optional bonus level for those who want an extra challenge.
You are welcome to share your short stories with us! You can add them as comments on the challenges, or post them in our Discord server.
We hope to return with the usual format next year. In the meantime, enjoy something new and different!
