November Events
As many of you know, some of the WordFam Leaders have previously been active in organising and running events during NaNoWriMo through volunteering as MLs (Municipal Liaisons), specifically for the BrisNaNo and Gold Coast regions. Early this year, those of us who were MLs in 2022 each made the decision to step away from that role and focus our energies elsewhere. We each have different reasons and priorities for doing this.
Previously, these links have meant that the WordFam events during November were superseded by regional NaNo events. This year, we have decided to maintain our usual roster of WordFam events through November. We’ll be holding the online portions of events on our WordFam Discord as usual. Our aim is to continue as normal and to support your writing, whether or not you’re taking part in NaNo.
Our events are, as always, open to all writers who wish to attend. We intend to share them with our old NaNo regions as unofficial events for anyone in those spaces to attend. We will also work with any new MLs to make sure we are not clashing with their events (it is not our wish to compete with what they do!).
